James Bay drops his second solo album Electric Light tonight and he revealed to McCabe that it's a definite departure from his previous work.

"I’m not the type of person to have much interest in staying the same," the 27-year-old singer-songwriter explained in the SoCal Honda Sound Stage at AMP Radio. "My big mantra, ethos going through this writing and recording process was if I’m not moving forward, I’m just standing still. And standing still feels, like, the same."

"This is all about evolution for me," he continued. "It’s about playing a slightly different character. Always honoring who I was before, you know that music, Chaos and the Calm, my debut record, got me to where I am today. That’s everything to me, but now I want to just bring new things to those people, to those fans."
