Another week of Booker’s ”Sample This” is here! Every Tuesday, we give you a weekly dose of music that you hear on AMP that has been sampled. Go back and take a look at weeks one through three and see some of your favorite artist who have sampled music from other artist.

This week is all about Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa’s new single “Young, Wild, & Free” which is the lead single off their Mac and Devin Go to HighSchool sound track.

Yep this song is also sampled from saxophonist Tom Scott who is responsible for the music in the original 1972 movie Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. 

“Young, Wild & Free” was sampled from Tom Scott‘s1973 single “Sneakin in the back” which has a more jazzy feel and of course features a saxophone solo by Tom.

Wiz Khalifa is currently working on his sophomore album O.N.I.F.C  while  collaborating with artists like Chris Brown & Adam Levine just to name a few. O.N.I.F.C  will release sometime this year and no dates have yet been released for Snoop and Wiz’s new movie Mac & Devin Go to High School which should be very interesting!

Even though Karmin started as a mere viral video sensation on YouTube, we just knew when they came in for their performance at Red Bull Sound Space at AMP Radio that the pair would go on to bigger and better things. Mostly, Top 40 radio things.

While their first single, “Crash Your Party” was infectious, their newest single “Broken Hearted” has the potential to be their breakthrough hit.

With the Super Bowl just days away, we’re getting bombarded with a ton of facts, figures, and polls about the big game, but one in particular stood out to Carson this morning.

Take this with a grain of salt, but cheating website AshleyMadison.com asked a bunch of married women who would they rather have an affair with and 54% of them chose New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning over New England Patriots star Tom Brady.

Wait…what? The ladies of the AMP morning show are Team Tom Brady all the way, so Carson decided to ask all of you out there why Manning is just too darn irresistible!

Carson thinks Eli Manning can charm the ladies because he seems so hard-working, moral, and attainable, but is that really what ladies want when they go looking for an affair?

Carson started out by asking Grace, one of today’s Daly Download winners, what she thought. Here’s what she (and everyone else) had to say:

• Working knowledge of AMP artists and relevant celebrities
• Must be able to work Monday-Friday
• Able to work in a high-stress environment
• Prefer basic familiarity with Photoshop for image cropping and resizing; WordPress and/or social media experience; knowledge of AP style and basic copy editing. Knowledge of photography and videography a plus.
• Must commit 10-15 hours per week.

It seems that Madonna is allegedly becoming a bit of a curmudgeon in her older age; the soon-to-be Super Bowl halftime star with a new album called MDNA coming out has apparently said she won’t attend an Oscar party that Lady Gaga is even on the guest list for.

Why is  Madge rumored to hate Mother Monster so much? Could it be all the musical (and physical) comparisons?

A “source” told Showbiz Spy:   “It’s unusual for Madonna to be so petty…She doesn’t usually act like this, even about bitter enemies such as Sean Penn and J. Lo.”

“She didn’t want to be forced into a photo-op with Gaga.”

Recently, Madonna made headlines by calling Gaga’s hit single “Born This Way” a “reductive” version of Madge’s “Express Yourself” and a “wonderful way to redo” her song.

Will.I.Am Came By to Talk About…

For his first solo album since the Black Eyed Peas went on hiatus, #willpower, he’s tapped everyone from Britney Spears to Busta Rhymes.

Besides the collaboration with Mick Jagger and Jennifer Lopez on the lead single, “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)” he’s working with Alicia Keys, Nicole Scherzinger, Shakira and even LMFAO as features. But it doesn’t stop there, “I have a song with Alicia Keys—me, Alicia, and Swedish House Mafia,” he shared. “I have a song with The Beats, which is pretty grand. Me and Shakira have been trying to finish the stuff we started, and me and Britney is really crazy.”

And he goes on, “So we got a song with me, LMFAO, and Eva Simons; A song with me and Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz. I got a whole other bunch of collaborations,” Will said, expanding on his “classical record” with former Pussycat Doll, Nicole. “This classic piece of music that I did with Nicole, it’s beautiful. That girl sings like I’ve never heard anybody sing like that in pop culture. She is thebomb.com.”

This is a star-studded album, but the idea of the album speaks to everyone. It’s to encourage the listeners to follow their dreams, which includes Will. “It was all a dream when I was 15 years old—20 years later I managed to take the dream from an idea to physicality. So #willpower is uplifting songs, encouragement for those that need it” the BEP front man told Capital FM.

In Busta Rhymes and Chris Brown‘s new Hype Williams-directed video for “Why Stop Now,” the video starts with a quote by Greek philosopher Sophocles.

It includes a dark, perhaps post-apocalyptic city covered in what looks like giant locusts as Busta gets crowned while sitting on a throne of gold lions and “busts” rhymes so deep that it seems like he’s going to have an aneurism.

Oh, and Breezy is shirtless for most of the video.

“ He knew that that was the most perfect thing to use for me when we first worked together because of the dynamic of my animation.
” According to Rap-Up, Busta only had kind words to say about working with director Williams. Mostly he just bragged about how he got to use a fish-eye lens and Kanye and Jay-Z didn’t.

“That interaction has always been the primary source of why our chemistry has always been so special,” Busta said.  “He wouldn’t give Kanye West a fish-eye lens, he won’t give Jay-Z a fish-eye lens. That’s my sh*t. He knew that that was the most perfect thing to use for me when we first worked together because of the dynamic of my animation.”
