Britney Spears Isn’t Releasing New Album This Summer

Sorry Britney fans, the rumors of a new album release this summer aren’t true, but Brit is in the studio! Read on to find out what she’s been up to.

Recently, Britney Spears‘ management team dispelled rumors originally run by TMZ of a new album drop in June of this year.

Britney Spears’ web site alerted this BS Alert.

But the good news is, Britney is currently in the studio recording for her next project, but there is no confirmation on when that will be released, and according to a representative from her label Jive Records, “there has been zero discussion about it.”

There is also word that Darkchild, David Guetta, Cisco Adler, and Sean Garrett have signed on to help finish her newest project (Aceshowbiz).

In other Britney news, she was spotted recently at the Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood changing her hair from brunette back to blond (TheSun). I guess she missed having all the fun.

Britney Spears Celebrates Valentine’s Under Golden Arches

Britney Spears’ hubby Jason Trawick takes her out to a romantic Valentine’s Day brunch at McDonalds. I hope he at least treated.

Britney and her year long boyfriend Jason Trawick made a quick Valentine’s Day stop at a Mickey-D’s drive-thru to satisfy Brit’s fast food craving. Even though it doesn’t sound too romantic, Britney has made her love of fast food widely know, so it seems like the perfect treat for the occasion.

Her two sons spent the holiday weekend with K-Fed, so Britney was free to spend time with Trawick, her boyfriend for over a year and a half. He seems like a perfect match for Brit, he knows how to treat her right.

Lady Gaga Tops Last.fm's "Best Of 2009" List

Lady Gaga’s spectacular year just got a little bit better as she was named the number one artist on Last.fm’s list chronicling the “Best Of 2009″.

In addition to Lady Gaga taking the coveted number one spot British sweetheart Lily Allen took third, Beyonce came in sixth and Kanye West had took tenth, rounding out the AMP artists in the Top 10. More AMP artists infiltrated the list with Britney Spears in eleventh place, Taylor Swift at thirteen, the Black Eyed Peas at fifteen and Kelly Clarkson landing in the eighteenth spot.

Last.fm’s list was compiled from data received from listeners computers. The website explains:

We compiled the list by looking at scrobbles for albums released between 1st October 2008 and 16th November 2009. We took out live albums, greatest hits collections, EP’s and singles before pulling them together into the lean, mean format you see before your eyes

The 52nd Grammy Award Nominees Annouced With A Concert!

LL Cool J started off the Grammy Nomination Concert with a rap medley that highlighted some of the best songs of 2009 featuring music by the AMP artists’ Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, and Taylor Swift. If LL’s intended to send a message to viewers that he’s still got it, it was delivered.

Without wasting any time, LL Cool J introduced the Black Eyed Peas who performed part of “I’ve Got A Feeling” and invited viewers to send in a 20 second clip of themselves singing along to the song, which has the potential to be aired on the 52nd Grammy Awards Show on January 31st.

George Lopez introduces the nominees for Song of the Year, which include songs by Beyonce, The Black Eyed Peas, Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift. Sugarland was introduced and she sang her Christmas song “Coming Home.” It’s festive blusey sound brings new flavor to the biggest holiday of the year.

Members of Linkin Park announce the nominees for Album Of The Year nominees. When they’re done, Joe and Kevin Jonas follow the nominations by introducing their little brother Nick’s solo project and first performance ever. Where did the time go? Kevin’s getting married, Nick has his own album, what’s next?

Maxwell does an incredible tribute to Michael Jackson by performing Michael’s song “Lady In My Life,” off of Michael’s Thriller album. Wow, it’s hard to cover anything by Michael Jackson, he is the King of Pop, but somehow Maxwell’s smooth falsetto is able to bang that song out in a way that could impress Michael himself!

Katy Perry took the stage in a super cute white embroidered dress to highlight some of the best rock albums of the year before announcing the nominees for Best Rock Album. Then T-Pain came out to announce the nominees for Best Rap Solo Performance. LL Cool J asks Drake what it’s like to be nominated after it’s announced that he’s up for the award for Best Rap Solo Performance.

Dwight Yoakam announced the nominations for the awards in country music and Smokey Robinson & Ringo Starr took the stage to announce the nominees for Record Of The Year who include Beyonce, The Black Eyed Peas, Kings Of Leon, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift. They also named the nominees for Album Of The Year Beyonce, The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band, & Taylor Swift.

The same band that introduced the show takes us out, The Black Eyed Peas, which works cause they can totally put on a show. And did I mention, Fergie looks incredible! Beyonce stole the show with 10 nominations, but Taylor Swift was close behind her with 8 nominations! Wow, it’s a big day for the both of them. The new app appropriately titled, “It’s Britney!” is designed to help fans keep in touch with Britney, while following her career moves and private message updates! Be Britney’s Dancer: All you need is a photo of yourself and within seconds you’ll have a photo of you onstage with Britney. Users are able to upload their newly created photo to be featured on Britney’s website, www.Britneyspears.com, and share with their friends or upload on Facebook, Twitter and more.

Messages From Britney: Britney will be communicating directly with users by dropping exclusive messages.

News: Users will be the first to receive official news.

Fresh Updated Photo Galleries: Users will have access to 100+ photos from Britney’s archives as well as her recent “Circus” tour which include fans, dancers, behind the scenes and more. Britney Ends Tour With A Lance Bass Lap Dance!

Britney Spears has never been one to shy away from expressing her sensual side. Throughout the second leg of her American Tour, she’s performed a lap dance for a lucky audience member to her song “Breathe On Me.” In Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino, where she was performing this past weekend, the lucky audience member was Britney’s friend and fellow singer Lance Bass.

After the performance, Britney tweeted:

“My good friend Lance surprised me on stage last night for Breathe On Me. It was soo funny! Good to see you Lance!”

It’s always fun to share your passion with the special people in your life, as it seems Britney was doing onstage. I’m sure she loved performing for her friend.
