Booker Likes Arby’s….A Lot

Booker talks about Arby’s 24/7. The dude can’t get enough of it, “You gotta try Arby’s! Their food is the best! Easy to get after work! Roast beef Sandwich is only 350 calories! Arby’s Arby’s Arby’s!!!!!” I have never had Arby’s, so…

I figured I’d pick some up on the way to work. If you’ re hungry there’s an Arby’s on Sunset right near the 101 entrance. My guess is you will see Booker there on any given day.

Look at Booker light up like a kid at Christmas.

After enjoying each tender bite of my Arby’s Roast Beef sandwich with some spicy horseradish sauce I can see why Booker can’t get enough Arby’s. Thank you Booker for showing me the way….you also owe me gas money and a Jr. Roast Beef Sandwich.

I also apologize to Ryan (Booker’s Phone Operator) for not picking him up a sandwich. I will make sure Booker takes care of you.

Black Eyed Peas, Shakira And More To Kick Off The World Cup!

AMP Radio is a huge fan of soccer and all of us here can’t wait for the kick off to the World Cup in South Africa in June! Finding out that Black Eyed Peas and Shakira will share the stage with renown African artists for a worldwide broadcast makes us Galaxy and Chivas say,”Goooooooooolazo!!!!” Ok now read more.

The A-list lineup has been announced for the ”FIFA Kick-Off Celebration Concert” the day before the World Cup begins in South Africa.

Your A-team of AMP artists including Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys, and Shakira are scheduled to perform at the first FIFA World Cup hosted by Africa! They’ll share the stage with celebrated African musicians including Angelique Kidjo from Benin, The Parlotones and Amadou and Mariam.

The “FIFA Kick-Off Celebration Concert” will broadcast worldwide on June 10 from the 30,000 seat Orlando Stadium in Soweto, the same township where liberation leader Nelson Mandela lived. The money raised from the concert will be donated to “20 Centres for 2010,” a program that uses football to promote public health and education in poor communities in Africa (AFP).

Taio Cruz Visits AMP Studios!

Taio Cruz is hott on the charts right now. His single “Break Your Heart” ft. Ludacris is No.1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and on the Daly Download! Cruz came to visit AMP and talks about his latest projects, check out the interview and photos here!

Taio Cruz is a British singer/songwriter/rapper/producer whose breakout single “Break Your Heart” is on huge here on AMP. Cruz rocketed to success with his debut release Departure in 2008, and since then has written songs for his latest album Rokstarr and provided tracks for Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis, and Shayne Ward.

He founded his label Rokstarr Music London, which also released his debut single “I Just Wanna Know” in 2006. He was nominated for Best Single for the song “She’s Like A Star” at the MOBO Awards in 2008, and also performed the song live at the show.

Off his latest album Rokstarr, Cruz just broke a seven-year-old record with his breakout single “Break Your Heart” ft. Ludacris for jumping 52 spots on the chart. His single has the record for “largest jump to the top by an act with its first charting single” (Reuters), previously help by Kelly Clarkson.

This British rookie is turning a lot of heads with his latest single, and he’s sure to impress on any upcoming projects in the future. Check out the video of McCabe interviewing Taio Cruz.

With a name like Casey McCabe I think it’s pretty obvious I’d be posting about one of the most celebrated days of the year. HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!!! A day to Go Green, not Cypress Hill green like Booker experienced a few days ago, but green hats, green charms, green clovers, green painted arms….

New Boyz and Kevin Rudolph, but my boss said I had to work, “YOU MUST BE ON AIR AT 7PM MCCABE!!!” The feedback from all your calls tonight were amazing sounded like New Boyz and Kevin Rudolph put on a huge show. I will bug the AMP bosses and work on another party.

McCabe Can Jerk Upside Down!

The countdown has officially begun for AMP Radio’s Switch Party, which will take place at Knott’s Berry Farm.

I decided to prep McCabe for the big day; I gave him 20 minutes to learn the most basic of moves with the help of YouTube. Later on while I was in the middle of answering phones and creating radio magic, McCabe was able to practice some jerking. Towards the end he actually took it up a notch and began to jerk backwards! As we all know, that’s not an easy thing to do.So, if you see McCabe at Knott’s Berry Farm on Thursday, ask him to Jerk! He’s always down for a good dance-off and word in the AMP Radio halls is that he was the best dancer at St. Bernadette’s. Are you prepared to challenge that?

Lindsay Lohan Lawsuit Madness

Lindsay Lohan is getting a little redic’ these days. She’s suing a company just for using her name. No.. not Lindsay Lohan.. just Lindsay. You didn’t know she was the only Lindsay in the world!? Our Amp Radio DJ’s decided that they should jump on the bandwagon and go lawsuit crazy!

Lindsay Lohan recently filed a lawsuit against E-Trade for supposedly modeling a baby in a commercial after her and even naming the kid, Lindsay. Lohan’s lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia, said the actress has the same single-name recognition as Oprah or Madonna.

She wants 100 million dollars for this image-jacking as well as the ad pulled.

After hearing this news, our Amp Radio DJ’s figured they could lose their minds too and start suing the pants off of anything with the same name as them.
