Black Eyed Peas made it back to the top of the list with their latest single “Imma Be.” It was just announced that Black Eyed Peas will be one of the artists to perform to kick off the World Cup in South Africa on June 10th! Keep checking here on AMP for more updates on the concert!

Taio Cruz is a British singer/songwriter/rapper/producer whose breakout single “Break Your Heart” is on huge here on AMP.  Cruz rocketed to success with his debut release Departure in 2008, and since then has written songs for his latest album Rokstarr and provided tracks for Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis, and Shayne Ward.

He founded his label Rokstarr Music London, which also released his debut single “I Just Wanna Know” in 2006.  He was nominated for Best Single for the song “She’s Like A Star” at the MOBO Awards in 2008, and also performed the song live at the show. 

Off his latest album Rokstarr, Cruz just broke a seven-year-old record with his breakout single “Break Your Heart” ft. Ludacris for jumping 52 spots on the chart.  His single has the record for “largest jump to the top by an act with its first charting single” (Reuters), previously help by Kelly Clarkson.  

This British rookie is turning a lot of heads with his latest single, and he’s sure to impress on any upcoming projects in the future.  Check out the video of McCabe interviewing Taio Cruz.

The other day, Booker interviewed UK artist Little Boots.  See the pictures and find out who this British electronica singing sensation is.

Victoria Hesketh is known as Little Boots in the UK and is soon to make a big splash here in the States.  She sings, plays synthesizers, the Yamaha tenori-on and the stylophone. She was the former lead singer/synth player in Dead Disco before leaving the band in 2007 for a solo career.

When she was 18, Little Boots was a contestant on the television talent show Pop Idol, but was eliminated after three rounds. She formed a jazz trio, went on tour in Europe with a big band then form Dead Disco.  Her solo stage name comes from a nickname given to her by a friend after watching Caligula, which is Latin for “little boots.”

She released her debut album Hands in 2009 and released an EP in the U.S. called Illuminations.

Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco is the 17-year-old singing sensation from the Philippines discovered by David “The Hit Man” Foster.  She started singing when she was 7 when her mother, also a singer, discovered her talent.  Her mother acted as her vocal coach helping Charice win many local singing competitions including “Little Big Star,” similar to American Idol.

She started getting national attention when she appeared on Ellen and Oprah, instantly making her an international celebrity.  Her current single “Pyramid” features Iyaz and is increasing in popularity among AMP listeners.
