If you’ve been keeping up with the morning show, then you probably know ALL about my dating struggles.

We recently brought in professional matchmaker David Cruz to analyze what’s going wrong and he suggested I join a dating website, instead of just the free apps I’m currently using.

Cruz explained that men who are willing to pay for a dating service are more likely to be seriously invested in finding a real relationship.

Honestly, the cost was one of the major factors holding me back…but once AMP Radio handed over the credit card, I was all in!

I purchased a 6-month membership for $25/month. The application process was pretty painless. It took no more than 15 minutes to answer all of the questions.

First, asks all about you: your age, your smoking and drinking habits, your interests, etc. Then, the website delves into what you’re looking for in a future partner. You can also denote which categories are absolute deal breakers.

Once I finished the questionnaire, my profile went live and well…it wasn’t EXACTLY what I expected it to be!

My inbox was flooded with messages from men of all ages and locations around Southern California. Many didn’t even bother looking at my profile and instead opted for a cheesy pick-up line.

If your profile is public, like mine, anyone can contact you. On most dating apps, another person can only contact you if you both swipe right on each other, which denotes a mutual interest.

On, you can “like” someone, you can “wink” at someone, you can write them an email, and you can also instant message them. In short…it’s A LOT. And maybe it’s just a learning curve I’ll have to get used to, but for now, I still prefer dating apps like Bumble and Hinge.
