Season 11 of The Voice doesn’t officially kick off for a few more weeks, but we got a sneak peek of a couple blind auditions last night after the Olympics Closing Ceremony.

It also marked the debut of new coaches Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys. And they definitely weren’t intimidated by vets Blake Shelton and Adam Levine! The ladies came ready to win last night.

“When somebody opens their mouth in a blind audition and it’s any form of a country song, historically, the three other coaches all stare at Blake,” Carson explained earlier this morning. “But now with Miley there because she lives in Nashville, she’s got such country roots and background from her dad, Dolly Parton is literally her godmother — she knows country music and is a threat [to Blake].”

The 21-minute preview featured two blind auditions — Wé McDonald and Darby Walker. Listen to what Carson had to say about the standout performances:

The Voice Season 11 blind auditions begin Monday, September 19 at 8pm on NBC.
