Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame found himself catching heat for his controversial comments about Caitlyn Jenner‘s transgender journey.

In a recent interview Waka Flocka opined that by Jenner sharing her transition on her reality show, I Am Cait, she was rebuking God.

The “No Hands” rapper has since taken to Twitter to apologize and clarify his position.

Waka said he isn’t homophobic, although harboring a prejudice against transgender people would be transphobic, not homophobic. (And if he truly isn’t homophobic, maybe he can enlighten Jenner a bit; despite being transgender, she still seems to have a problem with gay marriage.)  Further, Waka says he holds “nothing against transgender people,” and explained he was only concerned about the kinds of things the media and television subject children to. He concluded the series of tweets by apologizing and admitting his choice of words could’ve been better.

Flocka tweeted, “And yes I was wrong for using the word #evil I apologize for that and ever-person I offended #WrongChoiceof Word #WakaForPrez”
