The second night of the second round of battles kicked off last night on The Voice, but don’t be April fooled, this was no second-rate show.

Four more singers made the cut and are headed to the playoff rounds.

Earlier this morning, Carson explained why the singing competition opted for another set of battle rounds instead of the traditional knockout round of seasons past.

“We like the rhythm of competing of the two just going back and forth, so you have the best of the best in round two,” he told Producer Angie.

One of last night’s standouts was the soulful sing-off between Team Blake’s Biff Gore and Sisaundra Lewis. The duo battled to “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World.”

Blake Shelton chose to keep Sisaundra for the playoffs and while Biff wasn’t stolen, one other artist on Tuesday night was spared just in the nick of time.

Adam Levine picked up Team Usher’s Morgan Wallen after a solid showing in his battle against Stevie Jo.

The battle rounds, part deux, continue next Monday at 8pm PT on NBC.
