As a celebrity, getting hounded by the paparazzi is a given, but what about their children? Are they fair game?

A-list couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard say no and have launched an emotional boycott against tabloids and magazines that publish those snapshots.

They’ve had some success with their cause. People, US Weekly, and gossip blogs Perez Hilton and have agreed to stop posting paparazzi photos of celebrity children, but there are still countless publications that pay good money for these non-consensual pictures.

Bell and Shepard confronted the owner of photo agency and a celebrity reporter during a debate on Access Hollywood and the discussion escalated quickly into a war of words.

Bell, who is mother to an 11-month-old baby, described the paparazzo as terrifying and nasty “foot soldiers.”

“Our child hasn’t chosen to be a public figure, so why should our child have to suffer because of a career path we’ve chosen?” Shepard argued.

“It is our constitutional right to take the picture!” AKM GSI photo agency owner Steve Ginsburg replied.

And when celebrity reporter Christian Zimmerman was asked if he would ever stop taking photos of children, he simply answered, “To be frank about business, no.”
