In three weeks, Saturday Night Live regular Seth Meyers will adding a new job to his resume, host of Late Night on NBC.

He’s filling the hole left by Jimmy Fallon, who will be taking over the Tonight Show now that Jay Leno is leaving the late night scene.

Meyers manned the coveted Weekend Update news desk for eight years and worked with the comedy sketch show for 13 years.

Over all this time, he’s made a few famous friends, and a few of them joined him Saturday night during his very last show.

Meyer’s former co-anchor Amy Poehler and Bill Hader as Stefon added a bit of hilarity to the bittersweet moment.

“We are so proud of you. You’ve been the heart of the show for over a decade,” Poehler said. “You’re like the Sting of SNL,” Stefon added, “Because it takes you 12 years to finish.”
