Carson Daly & Producer Angie Make Their Grammy Predictions!

In just a couple of days, we’ll watch the best of the best face off against each other at the STAPLES Center during music’s biggest night.

Yes, Grammy weekend is finally upon us and as music junkies, Carson and Producer Angie couldn’t help but make some predictions for the award show’s most prestigious categories.

Check out their picks below:

  • The Blessed Unrest — Sara Bareilles
  • Random Access Memories — Daft Punk
  • Good Kid, M.A.A.D City — Kendrick Lamar
  • The Heist — Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
  • Red — Taylor Swift

Producer Angie: “Well you know, Taylor is like the princess of the GRAMMYs, but I think it’s going to go to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis this year. I think they had a huge year last year, just think about it. I feel like they could take it.”

Carson: “I’m going to give it to Sara Bareilles. I think she’s going to snag it in this one. I do, I do. That’s who I would love to see win it and I have a feeling she’s actually going to win it.”

  • Get Lucky — Daft Punk & Pharrell Williams
  • Radioactive — Imagine Dragons
  • Royals — Lorde
  • Locked Out Of Heaven — Bruno Mars
  • Blurred Lines — Robin Thicke Featuring T.I. & Pharrell

Producer Angie: “I’m going to go with ‘Get Lucky,’ Daft Punk. I would like Lorde to win, I would love Lorde to win.”

Carson: “I would love to see Lorde win. I don’t think she will. I think ‘Blurred Lines’ is going to be Record of the Year. I think it’s going to win.”

  • Just Give Me A Reason — Jeff Bhasker, Pink & Nate Ruess, songwriters (Pink Featuring Nate Ruess)
  • Locked Out Of Heaven — Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine & Bruno Mars, songwriters (Bruno Mars)
  • Roar — Lukasz Gottwald, Max Martin, Bonnie McKee, Katy Perry & Henry Walter, songwriters (Katy Perry)
  • Royals — Joel Little & Ella Yelich O’Connor, songwriters (Lorde)
  • Same Love —- Ben Haggerty, Mary Lambert & Ryan Lewis, songwriters (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Featuring Mary Lambert)

Producer Angie: “I’m going to go with ‘Royals,’ I’m going to go with Lorde’s song ‘Royals.'”

Carson: “That would be great if she swept both of those, Record and Song [of the Year] and that. I don’t think that’s going to happen. I think it’s going to be ‘Roar’ by Katy Perry. I think that Max Martin-written song is going to be Song of the Year.”

  • James Blake
  • Kendrick Lamar
  • Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
  • Kacey Musgraves
  • Ed Sheeran

Producer Angie: “I’m going Macklemore and Ryan Lewis here as well. I think they’ve got this.”

Carson: “I think it’s going to be Macklemore or maybe an upset with Kendrick Lamar sneaking in there.”

The GRAMMYs, hosted by LL Cool J, air this Sunday at 8pm PT on CBS.
