Halloween came out in theaters in 1978 and was directed and scored by John Carpenter.

The film stared Jamie Lee Curtis, who was making her film debut.

It was also the first of what would become many in the Halloween series. The independent film was made for about $325,000 and would go on to earn $70 million worldwide…crazy numbers for back then.

Not only is this a classic horror film and the greatest Halloween movie of all time, but also the sound of that piano in the soundtrack still to this day haunts me.

Since today is All Hallows’ Eve, let’s check out the trailer to refresh our memories, or if you haven’t yet watched the film, hopefully this will encourage you to check it out.

I intend on watching it tonight all alone. Remember to watch out for the boogieman on your way home from school or work.

And whatever you do…DON’T GET CAUGHT ALONE AFTER DARK!!!!
