Carson Daly Sweats Through His First SoulCycle Class!

Now that Carson’s got a new job to add to his busy resume, he decided to spice things up with a new exercise routine.

After hearing his publicist rave about it, Carson attended his very first SoulCycle class, which is a full-body workout based on indoor cycling.

“It’s like Fight Club for women,” he described. “It has its own language. It has disciples. You follow the teacher, the guru.”

He hit up the NoHo NYC location to take Laurie Cole’s class. Carson already rides bikes all around Santa Monica, so he figured, how hard could it really be?

“It is the hardest workout in 45 minutes that you could possibly imagine,” he told Producer Angie.

The goal is to keep your heart rate up for the entire class, but Carson maintains that SoulCycle is so much more than your average day at the gym.

“The exercise is really kind of the latter part of it. It’s about the escapism. It’s about the relaxation. They create this environment and again, it’s non-threatening, and the music is so good. I’m sure every trainer has a different playlist.”

In fact, they pair just the right song to match the intensity of the workout.

“The music is fantastic. It’s louder than you could ever imagine,” he said. “This is straight out of DJ culture. Her [spin bike] is up high like on a pedestal. She’s got her MacBook Pro on a swivel. She’s got full control over the audio and the lighting and the air.”

It’s safe to say Carson’s a total believer now.

“I must’ve burned 1000 calories, which is hard to do in 45 minutes. I mean, I was drenched.”

There are several SoulCycle locations right here in LA. Find out which studio is nearest to you here.
