Never forget.

Twelve years later, we still remember the brave souls who died on September 11.

Earlier this morning, President Obama, the First Lady, Vice President Biden, and Dr. Jill Biden gathered on the White House South Lawn to observe a moment of silence. Obama will also attend a memorial for the victims who died at the Pentagon.

In 2009, Congress designated this date as a National Day of Service and Remembrance to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their own lives to save others during the terrorist attacks.

Visit the Corporation for National & Community Service’s website at if you’d like to participate in an organized project in your area.
