The Voice Recap: Top 6 Face Off!

Now that there’s only six contestants left duking it out on The Voice, they’re finally getting some serious screen time!

Each artist performed twice on Monday’s show. They each picked one song themselves and their coach chose one selection as well.

Who had a standout night and why did Taylor Swift show up in the middle of rehearsal? Carson Daly has your full recap:

At this stage of the competition, Carson likes to remain unbiased, but that didn’t stop Producer Angie from singing Michelle Chamuel’s praises.

“Some people who I think just are so good just get better, like Michelle Chamuel,” Angie explained. “The Keane song she did, ‘Somewhere Only We Know,’ was great. I didn’t think she could get any better.”

When it came time to rehearse Chamuel’s second song, “I Knew You Were Trouble,” coach Usher cashed in on his superstar connections to treat his artist to a surprise visit from Taylor Swift herself. We can’t even begin to imagine how jealous Blake Shelton must have been!

“I thought that was cool, wasn’t it?” Carson said. “The look on [Chamuel’s] face!”

Team Shakira’s Sasha Allen also had the crowd going wild when she ripped off her dress during the last performance of the night.

“She sexed it up!” Producer Angie said.

The Swon Brothers performed one of Carson’s favorite songs, “Wagon Wheel.”

The Voice counts iTunes downloads as part of the overall vote and while it’s not a definitive answer, it gives you a good idea of who the frontrunners may be.

Michelle Chamuel’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” charted the highest at #4, Danielle Bradbery captured the 11th spot with “A Little Bit Stronger,” and The Swon Brothers and Sasha Allen also had singles in the top 30.

Tonight, only one contestant will be eliminated. Tune in at 9pm PT on NBC to find out who America saved!

Plus, season 3 winner Cassadee Pope stops by to debut her new single, “Wasting All These Tears.”
