It’s fair to say a lot of people don’t like Kanye West. I, for one, have never met him, but I agree that a lot of the things he’s done are pretty lame.

I’ve always had a respect for him as an artist though, and when I first spun “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” in 2010, I was blown away.

That album, along with Drake’s “Take Care,” are still, in my opinion, two of the better albums the hip hop community has put out in the last couple years. They’re both a great listen from start to finish.

By now, everybody has heard about Kanye’s sixth album “Yeezus,” out June 18th, and caught his Saturday Night Live appearance where he debuted a couple tracks off it.

Put aside your dislike for him and you have to admit, he’s continuing to put out great music and push it into new areas.

When I watched his performance on SNL, I immediately got a Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails vibe from the new tracks, or what I dubbed NINye West.

I’m looking forward to hearing his new stuff and caught a remix of one of his old tracks today from The Hood Internet. They take Kanye’s “Good Life,” which is a rad track, and mashes it up with the new Daft Punk song “Doing It Right”.

Check out one of Kanye’s performances from SNL and then give a listen to The Hood Internet’s mix (explicit lyrics) for today’s Viral Video of The Day.

Can’t wait until tomorrow for another one of Surfer Stephen’s viral videos? Check out some of his previous picks below:
