We’re going to take a look at some video today of an important and historical moment for the city of New York and our country.

Construction workers at the site of the World Trade Center used a GoPro camera to film the moment they attached the 408-foot spire to One World Trade Center last Friday.

The footage gives us a bird’s-eye view of the Manhattan skyline from 1,776 feet above the city, making it the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and the third tallest in the world.

I’m terrified of heights, so I got dizzy just watching it. Those guys are rad!

The spire will include a light visible from miles away to serve as a beacon and permanent signal of triumph over evil. Pretty amazing what humans are capable of when we come together!

Check it out for today’s Viral Video of the Day. I also included an aerial shot from a helicopter to help give it some perspective.
