Ever since Jason Collins’ shocked the sports world with his coming out admission in Sports Illustrated, more people have been coming out of the woodwork to extend their support to the basketball player, including his ex-fiancee.

Yes, when Collins was still in the closet, he had an eight-year relationship with former WNBA player Carolyn Moos.

A month before the couple was supposed to get married, Collins called it off and Moos never knew what was behind the break up.

Tuesday night, she revealed to Piers Morgan that she never suspected Collins was gay and only found out when he reached out to her last weekend before his story was published.

“He actually called this past weekend and we spoke a couple of times on Monday, so it’s really fresh in my mind,” she explained. “It’s going to be a process, absolutely, and it just takes a lot of perspective, and a lot of understanding, and a lot of open conversation.”

When Morgan asked if Collins apologized, Moos responded, “I think he’s in the process of taking ownership of the here and now which is actually coming out,” she suggested. “That can be very – I assume – overwhelming.”

We’re guessing that means no…watch the entire interview below:

This whole hot topic got Carson wondering…what would you do if you found out your fiance of several years was actually attracted to the opposite sex the entire time? He posed this question to today’s iPad Tag winner:

Both Carson and Producer Angie were shocked at how forgiving and gracious Moos was in light of the situation.

“I would be very angry, yeah, absolutely,” Producer Angie said. “That’s a long, long chunk of life.”

“I think I’d get over it because obviously he’s had a hardship too, much harder than what I had to go through, but initially I would be very mad,” she added.
