The talent pool is so deep on The Voice this year, they don’t even have time to show us all the battles going down!

Midway through Tuesday’s one hour episode, they played a montage of a few face-offs. Luckily, they highlighted a few that really brought down the house.

In fact, one battle got Adam Levine and Usher so riled up, they got downright snippy with each other while going in for the steal!

Carson recapped some of his favorite moments from yesterday’s show:

Tuesday’s episode proved that Usher is one tough cookie. He made it clear to Jeff Lewis and Josiah Hawley that the battle rounds were no laughing matter.

But he’s not just tough on his own contestants, he got Adam Levine all worked up while trying to steal Caroline Glaser from Team Blake.

“Adam was really going for it,” Carson explained Wednesday morning. “I think he got a little ticked off at Usher too because Usher was kind of cutting him off and he really wanted to get his point across that he wanted Caroline. It was a really great moment. It was edited down heavily.”

The drama took Caroline by surprise, who minutes earlier thought she was going to be eliminated from the competition.

“I just had my arm around Caroline because she just couldn’t believe that these two super stars were sort of fighting over her, which is the fun part about the steal now is because that power, like the blind auditions, it shifts back to these young people, these regular people, who all of a sudden get to make this great life decision.”
