After just 3 weeks of competition, the blind auditions portion of The Voice has come to a close.

Next Monday, the 48 remaining contestants will face off in a series of cutthroat battle rounds.

Only one from each pairing will survive elimination, unless another coach decides to steal them for their own team.

Last night, the coaches were focused on adding the finishing touches to their diverse teams. Blake Shelton, Usher, Shakira, & Adam Levine each had one spot left to fill, which meant they were very picky about turning around in their big, red chair!

What were Carson’s favorite moments of the night? Listen to his exclusive recap:

Blake Shelton was the first to complete his team with Jacqui Sandell’s cover of “Dreams.”

“I love this song. I love Fleetwood Mac,” Carson told Producer Angie.

It looked like Shelton may have regretted pushing his button so early in the episode once country singer Amber Carrington took to the stage.

He was definitely impressed, but since he had already found his 12 singers, Adam Levine got to reap the benefits.

The biggest battle of the night arose between Usher and Shakira.

They were both determined to win over R&B singer Luke Edgemon and Producer Angie was surprised when he picked the Colombian pop star.

But wouldn’t you know it…they saved quite possibly the best for last!

Jessica Childress recently quit her job to pursue a singing career and the risk paid off majorly when Usher snatched her up.

“Today, actually, we’re taping the battle rounds,” Carson explained. “I was there yesterday rehearsing and the set looks great. Some of the battle rounds are unbelievably good.”

Tune in next Monday at 8pm PT on NBC to see how it all turns out!
