Carson Daly Swears He Isn’t Leaving Us For ‘Today’ Show!

All this week, we’ve been captivated watching our very own Carson Daly co-host the 9am hour of Today.

You have to admit, he’s a natural! He’s done it all this week: Recapped the exciting premiere week of The Voice, discussed the gay marriage Supreme Court debate, and he even got his beard shaved on live TV!

Of course, there’s been lots of rumors about the future of the NBC morning news program and what will happen once Matt Lauer’s contract expires, so you can’t blame us for sweating a little bit about losing our good friend to the glamor of network TV.

Well have no fear, Carson called in again this morning to calm our nerves…he’s here to stay!

“This week’s just been about letting me come and just have some fun and you know, obviously I hope I’ve done a decent job. It’s been fun and I’ll come home Saturday and go back to what I do.”

“Changing poopy diapers?” Producer Angie teased him.

“Exactly!” Carson laughed. “[And] playing Ke$ha a hundred times at AMP Radio! But this was just a fun week, that’s it.”

Fun is an understatement. He’s used the opportunity to get the whole family involved, with his girlfriend Siri baking up some delicious treats in a cooking segment yesterday and his mother appearing on air today as a birthday surprise from Carson.
