Carson is one busy man. After clocking out here at AMP Radio, he usually heads off to do some work for his other two jobs at The Voice and Last Call.

Yesterday, he did just that, interviewing Fall Out Boy bass player Pete Wentz for his late night show.

He was so fired up by the band’s comeback single, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark,” he just had to share it with all of us this morning.

“It sounds sort of like epic to me. It’s sort of industrial,” Carson described.

The band decided to take a break back in 2009, but now they’re gearing up for the April 15 release of their fifth studio album, Save Rock and Roll.

“When they announce they’re going on an indefinite hiatus, usually bands don’t come back together, let’s be honest,” Carson said. “But they announced that they’re coming back together and that they have a new album and I got really excited by it.”

The time off must’ve done them some good because Wentz thinks every song on the album could be a hit single.

“He was saying for Fall Out Boy, it was so important that this record they put out, there’s 11 tracks on it, that every single song could be a #1 hit. There’s a lot of attention to every single song and I thought that was cool.”

“My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” features rapper 2 Chainz, who Wentz called ‘the coolest guy out there.’
