So my week 13 consisted of the slopes at Bear Mountain. It was a weekend of epic powder!!! Every run was full of fresh snow packed powder that kept us busy all afternoon. It was one of the best ski days this year. Now, I do my best to keep on track when I take a weekend off from the Team Practices so I was sure to get in my mileage earlier that week.

With that said I did not want to miss our latest team practice, which took place once again at Balboa Park on Saturday. This was a rest week so the running mileage only consisted of 10 miles. When you break it down we ran twice around the Balboa Park bike path. Each time around is pretty much 5 miles. It was a great day to run, nothing but blue skies. As we approach week 15 we will be up to 20 miles!!! What? Yes, exactly 20 miles this weekend and we’re just about a month away from the LA Marathon on March 17th. As we close in on the big day I’m only $250 dollars from reaching my personal fundraising goal. Thanks again to everyone that has donated and continues to donate.

I also plan to get me so new running shoes this week. My current shoes have been through 1 full, 2 Half Marathons plus training. Time for an upgrade!
