It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

No, not the holidays…it’s awards season!

Sunday night, the biggest names in Hollywood put on their fancy dresses and tuxes to gather at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to celebrate the best TV and film has to offer.

We always love watching the Golden Globes. It’s a little drunker and definitely more unpredictable than the buttoned-up Oscars.

Carson spent the evening at home rooting for his favorite shows and had plenty of thoughts to share about Sunday’s festivities.

“Well, I think the moment everybody’s talking about today is Jodie Foster’s speech,” Carson said Monday morning. Foster was heavily alluding that she was officially coming out of the closet as a lesbian, but threw everyone for a loop by announcing only that she’s single.

Many critics called the speech rambling and weird, but Carson said her candid words were “refreshing.”

“I think she was just saying I’m not your puppet, which is nice in today’s day and age,” Carson added. “It was a very good speech. I’m sure at the after-parties most every celebrity went up to her and said thank you for that speech.”

As for hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, both Carson and Producer Angie thought they had the perfect on stage chemistry.

And on a night where everyone seems so self-congratulatory, Carson made sure to point out a few acceptance speeches that actually seemed genuine. Adele, Jennifer Lawrence, and Ben Affleck all had some nice moments on stage.
