By now you’ve probably seen the viral video going around of a wedding party making a crash landing in a hot air balloon.

Jon Narcisse and his bride, Kerin, had just finished their vows went things seemed to go off course.

They crash landed in the backyard of a San Diego-area home, narrowly missing some power lines, not to mention coming close to falling down a cliff!

Carson called up the groom who lived to tell the tale to get the whole story!

“It was intense, but it was worth it,” Jon toldĀ Carson Thursday morning. “The view of the ocean was magnificent.”

Just the fact that Jon got on the hot air balloon is a pretty big deal because he’s terrified of heights.

“You know, your bride says she wants to get married in a balloon or she won’t get married, you man up!”

The trouble seemed to start when the pilot missed the landing field. They started descending over traffic, neighborhoods, and power lines, but Jon kept a sense of humor throughout it all.

“I looked at the pilot’s face and I knew something was wrong and I said to him, I go, ‘What am I going to tell the tuxedo company?'”

“Then we began our rapid descent. He said, ‘Brace!’ We braced and what you see on the video is the gentle part of the landing. That’s the part where I still had my hat and she still had her phone. It got a lot worse.”

Luckily, almost everyone on board escaped without injury. One woman went to the hospital after “tweaking her back.”

“I think now some folks are feeling some aches and bruises a couple days later,” Narcisse said.

You’d think after surviving such a terrifying incident, Jon and Kerin would want to keep their feet on solid ground, but the couple has big plans for their future.

“Next year on our anniversary, we’re going skydiving.”
