One week closer to the LA Marathon and week 5 is complete.  On Saturday we completed 5 miles as a team and each practice here on out will get longer and longer.  When I first did the San Diego it was a great feeling to accomplish a new personal record each week and I look forward to do that again for the LA Marathon.  Now with the long mileage ahead comes the proper way to keep your-self hydrated.  Whether you’re training just to train or you’re training for a Half or Full Marathon these are some good things to think about on Hydration.

Water makes up 60% of our body weight and performs many critical functions as follow.

  • Nourishes Cells
  • Tranports Food thoughout the body
  • Maintains blood Volume
  • Maintains blood pressure
  • Cushions and lubricates joints
  • Regulates body temperature
  • Eliminates waste from the body
  • Stay properly hydrated!

To keep you posted I’m signed up for the New Year’s Race Los Angeles 5K January 5th, as well as the Los Angeles Color Run on February 2nd.  Hope to see YOU running!
