"You want sex? I'll give you sex."

Skylar Grey thinks there’s more to life than just sex.  The “C’mon Let me Ride” singer sat down in the Red Bull Sound Space at AMP Radio with McCabe to talk about her new single.

Grey thinks of herself as a tomboy.  She had pressure from the music industry to start showing the world how sexy she is.  She might have taken it a little too far with this new music video.

“People were giving me a lot of sh*t for how boyish I dress, which I’m a tomboy, so that’s how I am. They’re like, ‘you should let people see how sexy you are.’ I was like, ‘okay…you want sex, I’ll give you sex.’ I maybe went a little overboard.”

Skylar admits that the first single off her upcoming album Don’t Look Down is making fun of how oversexualized pop music has become.

“There’s so much pop music out there about sex and I think it’s kind of ridiculous, because there’s so much more to life than that. Is that all these people do all day…have sex?”

Grey dressed in revealing pink polka dot outfit and showed off a lot of skin for the music video to prove to everyone that she can be sexy, but doesn’t have to be.  She would rather show off her tattoos anyways. Skylar is very proud of her body art, especially her clown lumber jack that L.A. native Mister Cartoon did on her back.

The single “C’mon Let Me Ride” is currently available. Don’t Look Down is expected to drop this spring.
