‘Saturday Night Live’ Opens With ‘Silent Night’ Sung By Children’s Choir

Since we first heard about the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, we’ve struggled to put our grief into words.

Nothing seems appropriate in this situation. The loss of life, especially when it involves young children, is an unspeakable tragedy.

Ironically, it is one of the funniest shows on television that had the most heartfelt response we’ve seen thus far.

Instead of opening with their usual comedy sketch,¬†Saturday Night Live¬†invited the New York Children’s Chorus to sing “Silent Night” to honor the brave souls who lost their lives.
