Google released its annual list of 2012’s top searches, which features different categories like general searches, image searches, events, gadgets, sports, people, and so on.

You may think because PSY’s “Gangnam Style” became the most-watched video on YouTube, it’d obviously be number 1. Well that isn’t the case. We had a year full of so many events like Hurricane Sandy, the Olympics, the presidential election, a space jump, and we also lost some great people along the way.

That being said, this year’s most-searched honor goes to the great Whitney Houston.

Take a look at the very-well produced video to accompany the list and sit back and reflect on the year that was 2012.

P.S…not that I’m a huge fan, but you can’t tell me Kate Upton isn’t on this list…I mean, that’s all anyone was talking about for a bit…while it’s a great list, it may be a little skewed.
