AMP Radio’s Halloween Masquerade Leaves Fans In Amazement!

It was an event to remember Saturday night, as AMP Radio’s Halloween Masquerade showcased an incredible evening filled with unbelievable costumes, great music and amazing live performances at the House of Blues on the world-famous Sunset Strip.

The excitement in the air was unmatched as hundreds of AMP listeners lined up for hours before the sold out show right outside the historic venue in West Hollywood. They knew they were not only about to see Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and PSY perform, but also were well aware that one lucky fan was going to win $5,000 as part of AMP’s Best Costume Contest.

The festivities began when DJs McCabe, Michelle, Booker and Seena, decked out in their Halloween costumes, of course, welcomed the packed crowd to the big show.

But shortly thereafter, just as AMP listeners’ feelings of anticipation were about to burst, British pop star Rita Ora took the stage, performing fan favorites such as How We Do (Party), Uneasy, Shine Ya Light (in a beautiful stripped-down acoustic guitar version), Radioactive, and then ending the set with her hit song R.I.P.

Next up, British pop singer Ellie Goulding made her appearance, opening with Figure 8, onto Only You, as she beat the drums during the stunning live performance. After that, she performed Anything Could Happen, holding the mic to the crowd several times to let them sing along. Goulding then broke into her monster hit Lights, and closed with her hit-single Starry Eyed. The crowd definitely wanted more!

Then at 11 p.m., the three finalists of the Best Costume Contest appeared on stage. With an overwhelming amount of cheers and applause, the individual displaying a costume that no one could quite figure out exactly what it was supposed to be (a fan walking in stilts with, sort of, a nature-oriented themed outfit), took home the big check for $5K.

And finally, after weeks of anticipation, the one and only South Korean pop superstar came through the stage curtains answering to a roaring crowd to perform his first-ever U.S. concert.

PSY welcomed and thanked his fans for the few minutes before breaking out into Right Now where he had fans jumping to the beat in every square inch of the house. He followed up with In My Eyes, Champion, and then the hit, as he described to the frenzied crowd, “The song that brought me to the world”, Gangnam Style. PSY truly had the audience in the palm of his hand. The energy in the room was mind-blowing.
