Jay-Z’s Full Set At Barclays Center: Surfer Stephen’s Viral Video Of The Day

Jay-Z owns a piece of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and he’s also part owner of the Brooklyn Nets.

Barclays Center was just finished and Jay just inaugurated the new arena with eight sold-out shows.

He streamed the 8th show of his residency at Barclays on YouTube over the weekend, which is today’s Viral Video of the Day.

Mr. Shawn Carter had a special guest for his final show at Barclays, the mother of Blue Ivy, Mrs. Shawn Carter (a.k.a. Beyonce). She joined him on stage for the sold-out show.

It’s a good show to skip through today or watch it in its entirety if you’ve got the time. Jay shows why he’s at the top of his game, being backed by a live band. During “99 Problems,” they switch it up and play ACDC’s “Back in Black.”

He also comes out after missing his cue on Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” because he was a bit distracted by Beyonce’s bootylicious outfit.

Jay had a nice ode to Brooklyn at the beginning of the set as well as a shout out to the late Brooklyn born MCA of the Beastie Boys.

Jay-Z is releasing an eight song extended-play record of songs recorded during his recent stay at Barclays, which is available on iTunes. Warning: This video contains explicit language, so watch at your own risk.

A cool thing Jay did was take the subway to the venue before the show to build the hype for the Brooklyn community and the new arena.

If you haven’t checked out the Barclays Center, you should. It’s got a great design and is now the most technologically-advanced arena in the country.
