Say it ain’t so! It appears that Foo Fighters, one of our favorite bands here on the morning show, will be taking an extended hiatus!

During the Global Citizen Festival in New York’s Central Park on Saturday, front man Dave Grohl told the crowd, “Without making a big deal out of it, we don’t have any shows after this. This is it, man…Honestly I don’t know when we’re gonna do it again and this is the perfect place to do it.”

About a month ago, Grohl announced that Britain’s Reading Festival would be the Foo Fighters’ last performance for some time, but he later clarified that he was only talking about concerts in England.

So is this the end? No one can say for sure…Take a look at the band’s surprising announcement:
