It’s Labor Day weekend and you know what that means…we’ll be soaking up the last rays of summer while BBQing with friends and family.

To kick start the festivities, we could think of no better truck to invite to AMP Radio than Trailer Park Truck!

Now that we no longer have to care about maintaining our bikini bodies, we filled up on all the burgers, mac and cheese, and chicken and waffles that we could fit into our stomachs!

Co-owners Dave and Marina told Carson all about what it’s like to work in such close quarters every day while dating each other at the same time!

Trailer Park Truck has only been roaming the streets of Los Angeles since April, but they’re already racking up rave reviews from foodie bloggers and loyal Yelpers.

Dave got his start as a guitarist for the punk rock band Senses Fail, but once he moved to Los Angeles, he fell in love with the food truck scene. His girlfriend Marina grew up cooking, so she, along with some chef friends, devised the eclectic menu.

The crew specializes in American comfort food with a gourmet twist. Yes siree, that means you’ll be chowing down some legit frito pie!

But it’s not just the food that has people talking. Trailer Park Truck goes all out to create a fully-authentic trailer park ambiance.

Just outside of the truck, they set up astro-turf, folding chairs, and plastic pink flamingos. While you’re waiting for your food, they have a TV running a constant loop of Metallica and Beavis & Butthead videos!

Here at AMP Radio, we’re all about sharing the wealth, so Carson sent Trailer Park Truck to the office of one very loyal listener for a special treat.

Congratulations to today’s winner! They scored a free lunch for their entire office!

To join in on the Food Truck Friday fun, listen to Carson on Friday mornings. He brings in a new truck every week, so there’s plenty of chances to win!

Where is Trailer Park Truck headed next? Check out their website or follow them on Twitter to find out!
