T-minus 3 days until the start of the summer Olympics! Can you believe it?

Producer Angie did her research and filled us in on all the latest, including the scoop on Friday’s Opening Ceremony extravaganza.

60,000 spectators got to attend a technical rehearsal for the big show and despite pleas to “Save the Surprise,” the details are leaking like crazy.

Director Danny Boyle, who won an Oscar for his work in Slumdog Millionaire, is in charge of the massive production, which will feature 10,000 performers over the 3-hour-long event.

The theme of the ceremony is “Isles of Wonder,” which is inspired by William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, but don’t you worry, they’re also embracing Great Britain’s more modern history as well.

Current James Bond actor Daniel Craig has reportedly recorded a segment with the Queen in Buckingham Palace that will air during the beginning of the ceremony and then a stuntman dressed as the famous secret agent will parachute into the stadium to kick off the festivities.

The presentation will also include characters from Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and yes, Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter series!

Sir Paul McCartney has previously confirmed that he will close the ceremony, and sources say he will lead the crowd in a big “Hey Jude” sing-along.

No word yet on who will light the Olympic torch, but we’re hoping it’s someone awesome!

Because of the time difference, the Opening Ceremony will actually take place at around 1pm our time on Friday, but NBC will delay coverage until 7:30pm, so you don’t have to call in sick to work!
