Katy Perry Tells Fans They Can Succeed Too-

Sitting down with MTV, Katy Perry further discusses what this movie will show her young fans. She insists that perfection is not at all key to success, but trying is essential.

“It’s been a process of learning it’s OK, and I’m accepting of my own skin, but I think it’s important for young kids to see that you don’t have to be perfect in order to achieve your dreams,” said the pop singer, “because I think that the world has this strange, skewed perception of successful people, that they’re just so perfectly made up, and they have all these possessions that make them who they are, and that’s not at all how I got here.”

Katy Perry reiterated her point, admitting, “I came from nothing. I didn’t have anything.”

But she turned all that around with dedication, and hard work. Surely, we’ll see her struggle and succeed in her new movie, “Part of Me” which opens in theaters on July 5th.

Snoop Dogg & Diddy’s Boys Get Free Rides to UCLA-

Only a month after UCLA awarded hip hop mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs’s son a full scholarship in the football program, the institution of higher-learning is again looking toward entertainment for their future team. This time recruiting Snoop Dogg‘s son, Cordell Broadus.

Cordell may only be a sophomore in high school but UCLA and his current school, Diamond Bar High School see a lot of promise in him. “We’re expecting him to really lead us the next three years,” Broadus’s coach said about the sophomore.

Since news first broke about Diddy’s son, Quincy, there has been a backlash from many sources that believe the Combs and subsequently the Broadus family should return the scholarships for students that can’t afford college otherwise.

UCLA has maintained that their athletic scholarships are not need based and often funded privately from donors to the program.

The Combs family has made it clear that they are proud of Quincy who rightfully earned his award.Snoop Dogg has thus far been mum about his son’s early acceptance into college.

More power too them.
