There’s nothing better than settling in with some popcorn to watch a movie with the fam, is there? This Mother’s Day, why not stay in with just mom for a change? Break out the tissues and popcorn! It’s Mommy Movie Madness!

Mama Mia – At her daugter’s wedding, a mom meets her 3 potential baby daddies. Perfect film to watch with the kind of mom who gets around. Just kidding! Between the ABBA songs and Meryl Streep being totally goofy for a change, this movie is perfect to watch with any mom.

Moonstruck – A daughter who finds the perfect man shortly after getting engaged.  A father who is having an affair. A mother who calmly keeps the family together. She also gives hilarious advice to her husband: ” I just want you to know no matter what you do, you’re gonna die, just like everybody else. ”

My Big, Fat, Greek Wedding – Boy meets girl, right? Except in this story, girl comes with gigantic, crazy, hairspray and Windex-covered family. Between drooling over John Corbett and the awesome makeover scene, this film is perfect to watch with mom.

Steel Magnolias – Ok. It’s tissue time. This movie is the mother (get it?) of all tear-jerker! Sally Field and Julia Roberts share a heartbreaking bond in this film. We’re tearing up a little just thinking about this movie.

Pay It Forward –  Haley Joel Osment plays an adorable boy who wants to make the world a better place thanks to his teacher, played by Kevin Spacey. We love the scene in which Helen’s character is late for her date and Haley has everything ready for her when she rushes home to change. He even calls a cab!

Stepmom – Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts star in this heart wrenching movie. It’s all about making a family work, no matter what kind of family that is. We can all relate to that, right?

Mermaids – Cher, Winona Ryder, AND a pint-sized Christina Ricci?! Sign us up. We LOVE Cher’s wardrobe in this movie, and we think you and your mom will too. Mermaids is one of those great happy/sad movies. A far-out mom, an angsty daughter, and a weird younger sister. What more could you ask for?
