Katy Perry Moved On; Seen With New Man-

This past weekend Katy Perry put all the rumors to bed about getting back together with ex Russell Brand when she was seen canoodling with Florence and the Machine guitarist, Robert Ackroyd over the weekend at Coachella.

When we say canoodling, we mostly mean making out.

This isn’t the first weekend Katy has spent with the new guy. The two were seen up close and personal last weekend in Indio at the music and arts festival where TMZ reports she was already introducing him as her “boyfriend.”

We can affirmatively say that we haven’t seen Katy this happy since the end of the “Part of Me” video (kidding!). But honestly we hope the very best for her. It’s clear that Robert was feeling the good vibes. He tweeted about his “best weekend ever” and Ms. Perry got her a little shout out too. Right after Dre and Fiddy.

Gotye NOT Impressed With “Glee” Cover-

Speaking to a reporter from Courier-Mail in his homeland of Australia, U.S. newcomer Gotye was more than honest about his views on the cover of his international smash, “Somebody That I Used to Know” by the cast of  the FOX show “Glee.”

While he admitted that he liked the musical arrangement, the vocals were lacking to say the least. “They did such a faithful arrangement of the instrumentals, but the vocals were that pop Glee style,” he said. Adding  that it was  “ultra dry, sounded pretty tuned, and the rock has no real sense.”

Gotye then compared listening to the vocals to a listening experience from  nonexistent sound machine. “Like it’s playing to you from a cardboard box,” he said.  But in further exploring Gotye’s sentiments, it became clear that just about every cover he’s heard has rubbed him the wrong way, at least a little bit.

He was asked if he was tired of his own song, to which he replied “Sometimes,” qualifying it with “Not so much when I sing it…It gets to that point where it starts to feel a bit self- conscious and I don’t want to hear any more people doing something with this.”

Fair enough. His rash of success throughout the world’s stages has him whirling still, which is totally understandable. We hope he eventually understand that in this case, the copiers mean no harm.

Isn’t imitation the sincerest form of flattery…or something like that?

Dr. Dre Sets Record Straight: HoloPac Not For Touring-

Right before hitting the Coachella stage for the second weekend in a row, Dr. Dre took a minute out of his schedule to say thank you to the concertgoers, fans and companies that helped him realize his dream of bringing back Tupac.

“I want to thank everyone for the love and support….and two of the companies…I wanna say what’s up to AV Concepts for actually projecting the hologram. I wanna say what’s up to Digital Domain for actually putting the image together. They did an incredible job and everybody out there loved it,” Dr. Dre said cordially before the show.

That’s where the niceties ended. After that Dre made it clear he wanted to squash any looming rumors about his intentions with HoloPac. “It was strictly for Coachella. Get it right,” he said firmly. But he didn’t want to close the avenue completely, and left himself room to maybe go there one day.

“I want to get rid of all the rumors out there,” said Dre. “This was not done for a tour. If a tour happens, we’ll see. This was done strictly for Coachella 2012.”

Well, well, well. A lot of people want the tour, a lot of people don’t want the tour. Watch Dr. Dre’s Message to Fans for yourself.
