And just like that, we’re already over and done with the first live show elimination of The Voice!

It was a jam-packed hour, with 6 contestants singing for their lives and a performance from Gym Class Heroes, but the host with the most Carson Daly managed to fit it all in somehow.

This morning, he broke down all the highlights and shared who he thought rose to the challenge last night:

Here’s how the elimination rounds work. America voted for their top 3 singers on both Team Blake and Christina. Those 6 singers automatically moved onto the quarterfinals.

The other 6 contestants had to perform again last night and each coach could save only one of them.

For Team Christina, American voted to keep Jesse Campbell, Lindsey Pavao, and Chris Mann safe, so that meant Moses Stone, Ashley De La Rosa, and Sera Hill had to perform right there on the spot to stay in the competition.

They all had solid performances, but it was Ashley who earned another chance with her rendition of “Paris (Ooh La La)”

On Team Blake Erin Willett, Jermaine Paul, and RaeLynn earned enough votes to keep out of the hot seat.

But fellow teammates Charlotte Sometimes, Naia Kete, and Jordis Unga weren’t so lucky. They got one last chance to prove themselves and it paid off for Jordis. Her performance of “Wild Horses” was emotional and compelling:

Next Monday, Adam and Cee Lo’s teams step up to the plate. Tune in at 8pm PT on NBC to watch it all go down!
