Muhammad Ali might have been known to “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee,” but at his 70th birthday soiree this weekend, graceful pop singer, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kelly Rowland[/lastfm], showed that she “floats like a butterfly” and sings like a beautiful nightinale.
Accompanied by legend [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Stevie Wonder [/lastfm]on piano, Rowland covered Whitney Houston’s 1986 “The Greatest Love of All” which was originally recorded by George Benson for the 1977 Muhammad Ali biopic The Greatest.
According to Rap-Up, Rowland said about Houston: “I remember the first time I met her, she was just such an angel and so supportive and had great words of encouragement to say about the music industry. To meet such an icon and a legend like her, you’re just like, ‘I was in her presence.'”
