[photogallerylink id=146387 align=right] Whew! Looks like Adele fans dogged a bullet here. Yesterday, the AMP Music Minute reported that Adele would be taking an whopping 5 years off from making new music or releasing a new album, but Adele took the time to clear things up when she addressed the comments in her blog.

“I’ve a few days off now, and then it’s the Brit Awards here at home,” she wrote about the show, “And then I’m straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!” Seeing as Adele is both nominated and slated to perform at the BRIT Awards, she doesn’t seem to show any signs of slowing down.

And why should she? Apparently she still feels on top of the world from her amazing evening at the Grammy’s. ”Oh goodness!! I’m absolutely flabbergasted! In between laughing my head off, welling up, needing to sit down and trying to maintain an open fire (which is pretty much impossible huh!?), I keep having flashbacks to Sunday night. The most incredible night of my life,” she wrote. “Thank you to you all, I am so overwhelmed, it’s the strangest feeling. I have constant butterflies and goose bumps, it’s wearing me out but I LOVE it!”

All is well on the Adele front!

[photogallerylink id=134676 align=right] The artists under the Young Money banner may not be as old as some of the older and more established rappers in the industry but that hasn’t made the YM team feel any less competition against the older guys. The latest example of the intense competition amongst rappers involves Nicki Minaj and Jay-Z. And boy, is it a good one!

In an interview with Allure magazine, Nicki recalled Jay-Z approaching her and congratulating her on all her success so far. We’ll let her tell the rest: “I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show,” she told the magazine. “He said, ‘Congratulations on all your success.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul.'”

Instead of graciously accepting his praise, she balked his obvious superiority (in money-if nothing else) and she was essentially like “sleep with one eye open.” Ha! That’s why we love Nicki Minaj!

But don’t view this as an idle threat. Especially when Nicki has already exerted so much of herself into endorsements (OPI, MAC, fashion design, Barbie!) and general money-making maneuvers, like albums and tours.

Keep an eye out. It’s about time a Queen ruled The Throne.
