Move over Tim Tebow!

There’s a new sports sensation in town and he goes by the name Jeremy Lin.

Never heard of the guy? Then you’ve probably been living under a rock for the past couple weeks!

For those of you who are still in the dark, Carson filled us in on the former Harvard student turned New York Knicks basketball player who’s making headlines.

So here’s the deal, Jeremy Lin is a walk-on point guard for the Knicks. He graduated from Harvard with a degree in economics, but didn’t end up getting drafted.

He eventually started playing for the Golden State Warriors and was traded a couple times before landing with the Knicks.

But it wasn’t until early this month that Lin came onto everyone’s radars.

Out of nowhere, he scored 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists when he got some playing time against the New Jersey Nets.

Most people assumed it was a fluke, but in his next game against the Utah Jazz, he had 28 points and 8 assists, then he outscored our very own Kobe last week in a 92-85 victory over the Lakers!

And that’s not all. He really put his name on the map last night with the game-winning 3-pointer against the Toronto Raptors. Take a look:

Naturally, his surprise success has inspired a lot of nicknames, including “Linsanity” and an internet meme similar to Tebowing, appropriately named “Linning.”

In honor of his nerdy Harvard roots, Lin sometimes holds his hands up to his eyes in the shape of glasses.

Surfer Stephen modeled his best “Linning” pose earlier this morning:
