Last night, the Grammy Awards was the place to be in Los Angeles and our very own Producer Angie was lucky enough to watch the whole celebration live at Staples Center.

This morning, she and Carson compared notes on the big awards show.

We were all anxiously awaiting the return of Adele, who had taken an extended break off for vocal cord surgery. With 6 Grammy wins, she was the star of the night and her performance did not disappoint.

Carson was also loving Foo Fighters. They took the stage twice, including a salute to Electronic Dance Music.

Producer Angie was a huge fan of all the powerhouse female singers.

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Alicia Keys[/lastfm] did a great [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Etta James[/lastfm] tribute with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bonnie Raitt[/lastfm], Kelly Clarkson held her own in a duet with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jason Aldean[/lastfm], and Jennifer Hudson brought the house down with her rendition of “I Will Always Love You” in honor of Whitney Houston.

In terms of a full-scale entertainment, both Carson and Angie were digging Chris Brown. Lip syncing aside, all the choreography and light effects were pretty darn sweet.

But let’s be honest, not everybody could be perfect and Nicki Minaj came up on the short end of the stick this time.

Her exorcism performance seemed out of place in light of Whitney Houston’s tragic death and as a whole, it was just too over the top.
