In between that whole football game thing and Madonna’s halftime show was the main event many of us were looking forward to…the Super Bowl commercials!

There were tons of worthy contenders in the running this year. Some funny, some poignant, and some just plain bad!

But we all want to know: who came out of last night a winner, well, besides the New York Giants? Carson and Producer Angie made their picks!

“It’s Halftime In America” — Chrysler feat. Clint Eastwood

USA! USA! For the second year in a row, Chrysler went with a very patriotic theme and we are totally on board with that.

“The Dog Strikes Back” — Volkswagen

We felt like we were in the film Inception with this one. It was a commercial within another commercial and honestly, who didn’t fall in love with the dog trying to lose a little weight?

And while it wasn’t quite as good as last year’s Little Darth Vader ad, we liked that they made funny reference to it in the second part.

“Sling Baby” — Doritos

You can never go wrong with an adorable baby, so naturally, this was one of our favorite Doritos commercials from the entire night.

“French Bulldog Races” — Skechers

Dogs were a big trend in last night’s commercials and this one from Skechers sold us hook, line, and sinker!

A moonwalking dog? How can it get any better than that?

“Vocal Kombat” – The Voice

Okay, we’re a tad partial to The Voice, considering Carson is the host of the big show on NBC, but admit it, you loved this Kill Bill-esque ad with special surprise guest Betty White!
