It’s that time of year when we look back on all the things that happened in 2011 and start making lists.

All of us here at AMP Radio have done our fair share. The AMP DJ’s already revealed their favorite songs and albums of the year, but the people at DoSomething.Org are counting down something a little more meaningful.

It’s their annual list of the Top 20 Celebs Gone Good, which recognizes the most charitable stars in the entertainment industry.

Did your favorite AMP Radio pop stars make the list? We’ll fill you in!

Pop stars to make the this year’s list included [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Taylor Swift[/lastfm] at #20,  [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Miley Cyrus[/lastfm] at #18, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lea Michele[/lastfm] at #16, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”][/lastfm] at #13, and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Shakira[/lastfm] rounded out the list at #11.

But it was [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Justin Bieber[/lastfm] who skyrocketed to 2nd place. He climbed 8 spots since last year. Why the big jump?

During 2011, he supported causes like music education and children’s cancer through the Believe Charity Drive.

He reached out to his fans, asking them to participate in the Pencils of Promise campaign Schools 4 All. This organization raises money and provides support for new schools worldwide.

The Biebs also donated some of the profits from his Christmas album and fragrance to various charitable organizations.

Most recently, he gave back to his community by appearing at [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Stevie Wonder[/lastfm]‘s House Full Of Toys benefit concert.

It should come as no surprise that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] topped this year’s list.

She’s been extremely vocal about enacting anti-bullying legislation and even visited with President Obama’s administration to make her cause known.

Mother Monster also announced that she will launch the Born This Way Foundation which focuses on youth empowerment in an effort to eradicate bullying. In fact, she convinced Barneys to donate 25% of the proceeds earned during this season’s Gaga’s Workshop.

And if all that weren’t enough, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] continued her support of the MAC Viva Glam campaign, which raises money in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
