musicminute 1 AMP Music Minute: 50 Cent and Madonna Song Title Dispute, T.I. Album To Focus On Past Trouble And Katy Perrys Angelic Upbringing

Interscope Records and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]50 Cent [/lastfm]have been at odds with each other for just about as long as 50 cent has been represented by the Universal Music Group label. It seems that every other week, Fitty is angry tweeting about their latest injustice towards him. You can just add this one to the pile. But this time, he may be picking at more than the label as [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Madonna[/lastfm] has also wound up in the crossfire.

[photogallerylink id=135100 align=right]Early today, it was confirmed that Madonna had officially signed a three album deal with UMGs Interscope Records. Also, confirmed was the name of one of her upcoming singles, “Girls Gone Wild.” Thing is, 50 claims to have already been working on a single under the exact same title.

To display his discontent about the situation, a fired up 50 took to his twitter account. “Man interscope put out the single art saying its coming out on the 31st but its not coming out. I’m not putting my album out till we are all on the same page,” he wrote right before erupting on his page.

Continuing on Fif wrote, “These people are gonna make kill one of them. Now madonna’s single is called GIRLS GONE WILD. This is some bull sh*t #SK”

Later on his Twitter account, he said he’d be putting out a video and then, trying to channel his anger, Curtis decided it would be better to write about it. Clearly the G-Unit captain tried making the best of what seems to be a bad situation.

“This is nuts to me. I try to do everything I can to keep my cool you know what? If they don’t care I don’t care I’m putting out a video now,” 50 declared. About 30 minutes later, fans were treated to a brand new video, “I Just Wanna.”

So far, Madonna has been quiet about the song titles and label mate drama. No offense to anyone, but Madonna is like a goddess in pop music. 50 may not want to fight this battle, it looks to be a losing one.

[photogallerylink id=128447 align=left] Atlanta rapper,[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] T.I.[/lastfm] has been hard at work on his eighth studio album, Trouble Man, ever since he was released from prison in September of this year. His focus has been near impeccable upon release allowing him to record upwards of 50 tracks so far for the upcoming album.

Many of the tracks slated to make the final album will likely follow the theme of the album, T.I. told reporters, “The name of the album is Trouble Man, and every song on here is about things that can get me in trouble,” he explained. “I’m reminiscing on the days when I used to run wild and do my thing the way I used to do it. I’ve got records that are just totally intellectually ignorant.”

Given that the Grand Hustle captain plans to release an album that celebrates partying and good times, T.I. has actually calmed down considerably. Now his focus seems to be his family, first and foremost, which he makes abundantly clear in his new VH1 reality show, “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.” In fact his son, Domani, who has goals of rap stardom is even featured in his latest video, “Hear Ye, Hear Ye.”

And secondly the Bankhead family man wants to best his last album, No Mercy, which was released while he was in prison but still reached No. 4 on the charts. “I was able to release a project that did well considering the circumstances, but I wasn’t able to put my all into it, which made it only a fraction of my usual contribution to the game,” said T.I.

Well expect a big year from him starting at the stroke of midnight. The King of the south has a brand new mixtape scheduled to be released when the ball drops…literally.

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Katy Perry[/lastfm]’s life today is probably not what she expected t to be growing up. But not for the reasons you may think. It’s true many celebrities probably never thought they’d reach extreme levels wealth and fame they experience but for Katy Beth her ultra conservative upbringing made it all the more unexpected.

Though her parents lived out loud during their youth, her mother once dated [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jimi Hendrix[/lastfm] and her father is a recovered drug dealer turned pastor, they kept Katy on a pretty short leash. “Everything I do is a bit slightly forbidden,” said the “I Kissed A Girl” singer.

“When I was a little girl, I kind of thought that our world, my family’s world, was the only type of world that existed. I had no idea that there was, you know, rock and roll or MTV … we had television but it was very censored,” she explained “If people were about to kiss, I would never see that actual kiss. It would be changed the next second, but I didn’t know that at the time.”

Trying rigorously to raise Katy in a positive, Christian environment her parents resorted to very unique and interesting measures. Deviled eggs were known as “Angeled eggs,” the only book available was the Bible, and the only music she could listen to was gospel.

Nobody would believe you if you told them that the Katy Perry that grew up in that household would become the singer made famous for her hits like “Waking Up in Vegas” and for having extra low cut shirts on children’s television. But that’s exactly how it went down.

Katy doesn’t seem bitter though. “I still call them Angeled eggs,” Katy confirmed.
