We’ve been doing this whole Food Truck Friday segment for about a year now.

Lots of trucks have come and gone, but if our memory serves us correctly, we’ve never had an honest to goodness pizza truck stop by the AMP Radio studios!

Well that’s all about to change today because Valentino’s Pizza Truck is here today to show Carson what’s cookin’!

Valentino’s specializes in gourmet thick crust pizza and co-owners John and David explained to Carson why they have a passion for the classic Sicilian style.

John came up with the concept of a pizza food truck when he realized there was a major void in industry when it comes to quality catered pizza.

Sure, you can have regular old pizza delivered to your door, but do they serve up things like chocolate Nutella pizza? We think not!

While both John and David grew up in Beverly Hills, John caught the food bug in Dubai where he dabbled in the biz as a manager for an Italian kitchen.

He also owned an auto shop that specialized in custom work, so it was then when he really took an interest in specialty trucks.

After awhile, he missed sunny California, so he moved back to start up Valentino’s with real estate developer David and the rest is history!

There’s a plethora of options for you to choose from at Valentino’s, so there’s something for everyone.

Just don’t ask for thin crust…EVER! John says it destroys the authentic Sicilian style that Valentino’s is built on.  Duly noted!

Carson wanted to share this pizza party with you all, so he chose one lucky listener to get a free lunch from Valentino’s.

Congratulations to Natalie in Culver City! She and her office are getting hooked up!

Didn’t win today? No worries! A new truck stops by each and every Friday morning to chat with Carson, so there plenty of chances to score some free food!

If you’re in the mood for some tasty goodness from Valentino’s, check out their Facebook page or follow them on Twitter for the latest updates!

Valentino’s Pizza Truck rocks! I first had a delicious slice at Concord d’ Elegance car show on Father’s day in Beverly Hills. I was hooked and I’ve followed them ever since. I’m in love with their artichoke pizza and the chocolate pizza for dessert! Damn, I’m craving a slice right now!
