This year’s American Music Awards are shaping up to be quite a show. The hosts are on point, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Pitbull[/lastfm] are slated to lead the way on November 20th, when the show airs. Not to mention the hot performers lineup.

[photogallerylink id=125546 align=left]After announcing the nominees in a recent press conference, both Nicki and Pitbull forgot to mention the little fact that the two would also be among the many performers that evening.

The most recent addition, Mr. [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Usher[/lastfm] Raymond, will join the already exciting list including [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Katy Perry[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Justin Beiber[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kelly Clarkson[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]LMFAO[/lastfm].

Also on this year’s show super producer and world reknowned DJ [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]David Guetta[/lastfm] has a spot, as does [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jennifer Lopez[/lastfm], who will no doubt be dancing for her “Papi” and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Maroon 5[/lastfm] joined by[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] for their group number “Moves Like Jagger.”

Can’t wait for the show this year, it’s going to be FIRE!

I’ve never known the British to be particularly interested in living the life of Fame, it seems like a much more an American dream. Perhaps [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Adele[/lastfm] is a testament to this ideal. She has no interest in fame and much of what comes with it.

[photogallerylink id=104427 align=left]She is amused with the pedestal American fans put her on, “American people think I am posh even though I am really not. They think I have a very British accent, as in: ‘Do you know the Queen?’ she continued, “I just laugh at them. In England I am thought of as common as muck.”

Well probably not quite muck, but things like her accent are most likely less intriguing to UK fans. She insists that she in inexperienced at being famous, and perhaps that is why she doesn’t want a part of the life, “I am pretty oblivious to everything. I’m not very in touch with the fame side of things; it doesn’t interest me at all.” She goes to lengths to not be apart of the branding culture that has become entertainment industry, claiming that she doesn’t even want endorsement deals.

In fact, little ol’ Adele goes sometimes goes by the pseudonym ‘Jenny’ in public as a way to stay anonymous, “My mum even calls me Jenny when we’re out in public because if she starts shouting Adele in a big department store people are going to look round and it gets awkward,” she told reporters.

We know Adele has a little bit of stage fright, so her shyness coming through in her personal life is no surprise to me. I just hope she gets the time and space she needs to heal up her voice, after canceling her US tour…again. I am also itching to hear a new album from the golden voice that is Adele.

I like her more and more everyday. Keep it up! I also strongly believe in Adele’s live show, so here’s a taste. “Turning Tables” LIVE by Adele.

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]50 Cent[/lastfm] is not only a reformed bully but also a philanthropist. His maturity is soaring as is obvious from some of his latest projects. First the indie film “All Things Fall Apart” in which 50, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, plays a promising college football player on the pro-football fast track when a cancer diagnosis sidelines the star. 50 lost an astounding 80 pounds for the role.

Then there is 50’s brand new book, Playground, in which an older 50 writes that the main character of the book, a bully, is based loosely on his life and experiences. He goes on to say that he isn’t proud of that part of his life but did learn from it, and feels apologetic to all those he tormented back in the day.

[photogallerylink id=115696 align=left]Now, in sort of a capstone of maturity for 50 this year, his new energy drink Street King, has acted not only as a new health beverage, but also as a means to mobilize consumers to help out a good cause, like feeding Africa and fighting hunger, one meal at a time.

He recently announced a new initiative, in which for every “Like” Street King gets on Facebook, 50 will donate one meal for a child. His goal is to get one million in one week.

The “I Get Money” rapper seems to have no hesitation giving his money to a good cause, and that’s great to see.

To help the cause, go here and “like” 50’s drink. Feed a child, it’s that easy.
