This just in, October’s Very Own has moved his album to November. [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Drake [/lastfm]unfortunately had to forego his October 24th birthday release due to copyright sample issues.
Drake released a statement on his own website explaining why it’s best to move the album back. A few of the songs have samples that still need to be cleared. The hip hop crooner weighed his options.
“My options were to take the songs off and make the birthday release happen, or to take an extra couple weeks to get the paper work right and give you the album they way I NEED you to hear it,” Drake wrote.
Subsequently, his Club Paradise Tour will also be rescheduled do to the albums later release date. We can expect the album November 18th.
In preparing for the album, Drake has already released 4 singles from the album to much deserved fanfare. While “Headlines,” is the first an only official single Drake also released “Marvin’s Room,” which was remixed by everyone from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]JoJo[/lastfm] to [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Chris Brown[/lastfm], “Free Spirit” with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rick Ross[/lastfm] and “Club Paradise.” They are all making their way on the charts and through fans’ headphones.
Some people are saying that Drake fell off, AMP doesn’t believe that. His new singles are honest, introspective, catchy, and just plain good music. I don’t mind waiting till November. That’s just something they know, they know, they know…

Read Entire Statement:
The new date for Take Care is November 15th, 2011. I managed to create this album in my hometown of Toronto and the thoughts and stories I wanted to get across just became so clear. It truly felt like when I was here 3 years ago making So Far Gone. So I have completed 19 songs (17 on physical and 2 on bonus), and have run into a roadblock of clearing 3 samples in time to make the October 24th date. My options were to take the songs off and make the birthday release happen, or to take an extra couple weeks to get the paper work right and give you the album they way I NEED you to hear it. The choice was clear as day for me. November 15th you will get Take Care the exact way I created it with no trimmings. This music means too much to me to get attached to dates and I do apologize for the delay but I promise that it is only for the benefit of our experience together. Club Paradise Tour will also be moved to when students are back from the Christmas/New Year break so that I can get to more schools. New dates will be released in the next week…see you all soon.
[photogallerylink id=99743 align=left]If you take one look at [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm], I challenge you to find even one glimmer of self-doubt or low self-esteem. She has worked with some of the best in the business today including [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Britney Spears[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lil Wayne[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]will.i.am[/lastfm] and even SNL living legends[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] The Lonely Island[/lastfm].
You may be surprised to learn that at one point, the starlet had thoughts to give up on everything, including her own life. In her pre-fame days, a hustling Onika couldn’t take too much more failure and was at her lowest.
“I kept having doors slammed on my face,” Minaj recalled of her struggles. “I felt like nothing was working. I had moved out on my own, and here I was thinking I’d have to go home. It was one dead end after another. At one point, I was, like, ‘What would happen if I just didn’t wake up?’ That’s how I felt. Like maybe I should just take my life?”
Luckily she stuck it out, caught her big break and now she has nothing but high hopes for the future. “I will have put out five albums and will have an Oscar and Grammys,” she envisions. “And I will be getting married and, a couple of years after that will have a bun in the oven. … My whole life is about being Nicki Minaj now. It’s a never-ending saga.”
Nicki’s life seems more and more like an epic novel everyday. I imagine she likes it that way, I know we do! Keeps it interesting.
We need something inspiring for this one.
