Years ago, before [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lupe Fiasco [/lastfm]was famous, we saw him at a tiny in-store performance for the R&B-electro group [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Chromeo[/lastfm].

Someone pointed at him and whispered, “That’s the next [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kanye West[/lastfm].”

Even since then, we couldn’t get Lupe Fiasco’s name out of our heads.

Cut to 2011 and Fiasco’s shimmering, sexy album Lasers is finally released, after much controversy, with his third single, “Out Of My Head,” jumping directly off the album and pummeling us with an animated groove accented by the slick croon of Trey Songz on the chorus. The video follows suit.

How many times have we been in love and completely unable to get the person out of our heads? Too many times to count. It’s sort of embarrassing.

Too bad Lupe didn’t bring this up when he talked with McCabe recently.

Hey, we’re not players, we just crush a lot.!/LupeFiasco/status/86190583076491264

Let Lupe know!
